NBP Awards B&A a Contract to develop a prototype LED driver board for FAA

New Bedford Panoramex Corportation (NBP) in Upland, CA has given a contract to B&A Engineering Systems, for the hardware and software development of prototype LED driver board used by Federal Administration Aviation (FAA) in Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI).
The PAPI provides the pilot with a safe and accurate glide slope on final approach to the runway. A row of PAPI Light Housing Assemblies (LHA) placed perpendicular to the approach path are seen by the pilot in combinations of red and white to indicate a path that is too high, too low or correctly on slope.
